Here are some shots of our new place... it's warm and sunny in Charleston and the guest suite is getting some use. Nate, Danica and Stella are here now and Dave, Bridget, Victoria and Josh are next up. There are openings though :)
We found sand dollars, starfish and whelk (which Gerry and Nate had for dinner - don't worry, they googled it first!).
AWESOME! I'm jealous, to be perfectly honest. It's not that I don't like the bitter cold. . . I just don't like it as much as I like the balmy warmth. You're in USDA zone 7, too. I could grow so many cool things down there!
ReplyDeleteWell, SC is still taking applications and we'd be happy to put in a good word for you :-) I bet the boys would love the beaches!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking today I need to get some garden advice. What should we grow (we have a small yard so containers might be best!).
For starters:
ReplyDeleteBasil, Parsley, Dill, and Cilantro are our favorite herbs and they would all do fine in pots.
Also, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, melons, and peppers would all do fine in pots as well, though all except the peppers would require some kind of teepee structure for support.
I just checked your last frost date: Mar 9! That means you can plant outside as early as Mar 23rd and be pretty safe! Ok, now I'm really jealous!
Thanks for the ideas! I'll get planting!!
ReplyDeleteIf you guys want to come for a visit, just let us know. We've got guest rooms all ready to go... and the beach is just a short drive away!
